In the Buddhist tradition, dāna means generosity — the open-handed, open-hearted giving that arises naturally in response to conditions. It is strongest when it is not transactional — not “I give you this, you give me that” — but when the field of giving and receiving is alive, flowing, and mutual.
When we give or receive in this way, we are simply participating in the living current of generosity that nourishes both giver and receiver.
Music, like meditation or friendship, can carry that current — a shared resonance rather than a trade.
In that spirit, these offerings are freely given. Please feel free to simply receive these musical offerings, or share them with friends, family, or anyone who might be touched by them — anywhere in the Field.
May they travel where they are most needed, bringing beauty, reflection, and stillness.

Guitar Dharma
This small booklet explores how playing the guitar can become a path of awareness — through body, speech, and mind. Drawing on Buddhist teachings, Nonviolent Communication, and the spirit of presence, it invites musicians to approach their instrument as practice, not performance.
